Let Christ calm the economic waters

Live audio chat with J. Edward (“Ned”) Odegaard, C. S.
July 22, 2008

A conviction of God’s love and of our ability to rely on it to meet every need comes through loud and clear in Ned’s thoughtful answers to site visitors’ questions. He says that each of us is at the center of God’s attention, not pushed to the side by others’ needs or no longer wanted because we are retired or out of favor. Each of us has a specific place in God’s creation, and God doesn’t neglect any part of it. Nor is a financial challenge a sign that God is punishing us.

Ned responds to questions from people whose retirement income has been reduced by the weakness of the dollar, who have been praying for a long time about their financial situation, or who feel “stuck” by the current financial scene. He also offers thoughts about the global economy and how to pray about it, providing a spiritual definition of “investment” and “currency.”
