Eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and body dismorphic disorder affect up to 24 million Americans and 70 million people worldwide. While these diseases are often thought of as “women’s” problems (one in five women is affected by an eating disorder), a Cornell University study found that 40 percent of male football players surveyed engaged in some sort of disordered eating behavior.

This chat will be about more than coping strategies. It will share how gaining a clearer sense of your spiritual identity can bring you to a healthier concept of your body. So if you–or someone you care about–want a fresh view of who you really are, bring your questions and gain healing thoughts that can lead you to freedom.

About Candace du Mars: Candace lives in Port Orchard, Washington, where she works as a Christian Science practitioner and teacher.
