2:00pm ET - 3:00pm ET
Around the world, individual nations are facing economic and political challenges as they strive to respond to the continuing economic downturn, to tensions in the Middle East, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, and concerns about energy supplies. Often a country’s leaders need to make difficult choices in the face of partisanship, obstructionism, and public anger. Here’s where everyone can lend a hand—or, rather, a prayer. The Bible advises prayer for “kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty” (I Tim. 2:1-2). In this chat you’ll get some ideas about how to pray to support your individual nation and about how your prayers can contribute to the larger, global condition as well.
