When the leaders of Tunisia and Egypt were overthrown, few would have expected the democracy movement to expand so quickly to include efforts in Bahrain, Yemen, Oman, Morocco, and Libya. Demonstrations for greater freedom in Iran are also continuing. During these times, prayer is needed to support peace, stability, and progress for all people, and to ensure that God's good and loving government prevails.
About Marta Greenwood: As a young girl growing up in Iran, the four walls of her family’s home were the limit of Marta’s world. All during her childhood, her one ambition was to set herself and other women free from the oppression of family traditions that treated women as less than human.
After undergoing major surgery to remove a life-threatening tumor and not experiencing a full recovery, Marta began searching for an alternative system of healing. When Marta found Christian Science, she was not only totally cured physically, but through this study she also tore off her mental veil of repression and limitation and found her freedom to achieve things she never believed were possible as an eastern woman.
As a Christian Science practitioner and teacher in London, Marta works with many professionals from all walks of life and gets referrals from medical and alternative practitioners and teachers. In her community work, Marta also works with abused women.
Marta is fluent in both English and Farsi.
