“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path,” sang the Psalmist. Yet, for many people today, the Bible is a closed book, buried in the bottom of a trunk somewhere. Does it still have relevance in the age of the Internet? Is it possible to translate ancient words of wisdom into ideas for the modern age? Can it comfort people in the throes of the mortgage and financial meltdown? Join Mike Hamilton, a student of the Bible and college professor, to ask your questions about the Bible. Find out how its healing ideas can bring peace and security to your life.

About Mike Hamilton: Mike Hamilton, a native of southern California, has been a professor at Principia College since 2004. Prior to teaching, he served for 20 years as a U.S. Navy chaplain. His assignments included naval training centers, a support ship, a Marine battalion, an overseas assignment at a Naval Air Station in Sicily, and a military prison. For several years he developed training and curriculum for chaplains and their assistants serving with the Marine Corps. Mike worked closely with members of many faiths and gained expertise in management of relief funding and interfaith volunteer supervision. He was selected by the Navy for a year of additional postgraduate study in Social and Christian Ethics in 1996.
